1 X Azure Architect

Azure Architect • Location: Bristol (Hybrid working model, 1-2 days a week onsite) • Job Type: Contract (Outside IR35 via PSC) We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect to lead the design and implementation of a secure landing zone for a national organisation. This role involves extensive work with Azure, focusing on enhancing governance and security frameworks to meet the stringent requirements of secure clients. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing a central hub-and-spoke network architecture and improving overall system security. Day-to-day of the role: • Design and implement a secure landing zone in Azure, ensuring all deployments are secured and centrally managed. • Develop comprehensive documentation related to the architecture and security measures. • Collaborate with different business units to unify IT governance and privileged access management across the organisation. • Communicate complex technical designs effectively to both business stakeholders and non-technical audiences. • Manage a large and varied workload, prioritising tasks to meet project deadlines. • Lead the initial phase of design and cost estimation, followed by overseeing the implementation once approved. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect, specifically with Azure. • Proven track record in designing and implementing secure landing zones within Azure environments. • Experience utilising Microsoft Defender as a security tool. • Strong ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. • Demonstrable experience in technical architecture roles across all phases of the development lifecycle. • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Desirable Skills: • Experience in performing complex analysis and providing technical recommendations. • Proven experience in planning, architecture, high-level design, and implementation of complex systems architectures. • Knowledge in various aspects of solution architecture including Services, Applications, Integration, or Data.
