Role description
Job Responsibilities • Manage and administer ActiveBatch server and scheduler. • Perform upgrades, patches, and coordinate with the ActiveBatch vendor as needed. • Identify and resolve any vulnerabilities across schedulers and execution agents. • Schedule, monitor, and execute jobs using ActiveBatch. • Proactively monitor and control job executions to ensure smooth operations. • Troubleshoot job failures and provide resolutions efficiently. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and optimize workload automation processes. • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation tasks. • Work with SFTP, file transfer protocols, and related integration components. • Utilize and configure web services as part of job workflows. • Use SSIS for ETL workflows and maintain associated SQL components. • Perform SQL queries, debugging, and tuning as needed. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Required Skills • ActiveBatch administration (must have) • SSIS & SQL (strong experience) • PowerShell scripting • SFTP / File transfers • Web services (REST/SOAP) • Workload automation experience • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
