• The Team:
• We’re hiring a data scientist/advanced analyst within the Fraud & Safety Organization (FSO) to support Product, Operations, and Policy leaders. The FSO Advanced Analytics team drives data-informed decision-making to protect trust across the platform by embedding measurement, experimentation, and insights into product defenses and user journeys.
• You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to design scalable systems that detect and mitigate fraud across domains. You’ll shape trusted user journeys across pre-trip, on-trip, and post-trip experiences, build compelling data narratives, and strengthen measurement and experimentation practices using our rich data and ML infrastructure.
• What You’ll Do:
• Lead data-driven product strategy for the FSO Defense Platform
• Build insights and reporting to detect and mitigate fraud at scale
• Define and evaluate metrics, including ML model performance
• Influence experimentation, causal inference, and measurement strategy
• Drive decision-making through reviews, scorecards, OKRs, and planning
• Building insightful dashboards for the stakeholders
Requirements
• 5+ years in analytics; advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred
• Expert in SQL and Python
• Strong in experimentation design and power analysis
• Solid understanding of the machine learning models and evaluation performance
• Familiar with ETL frameworks and large-scale data modeling
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving solutions end-to-end
• Experience in Trust & Safety is a plus
