Role description
Advanced Analyst, Quality & Blueprint
Our client's team partners with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to identify where the experience is breaking down, why it's breaking down, and what to do about it, so we can keep delighting the community at scale. Their work informs strategy at the leadership level and decisions at the product squad level.
The Difference You Will Make
We are seeking an Advanced Analytics Contractor to act as a senior analytics partner on the Quality & Blueprint team. You'll deliver high-impact analysis, experimentation, and reporting that drives how the business diagnoses and improves the guest and host experience.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed to accelerate progress during a period of constrained capacity. You will operate independently, partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and own end-to-end work from problem framing to leadership-ready recommendations.
A Typical Day:
• Conduct strategic deep dives into customer experience drivers (cleanliness, check-in, communication, etc.) to identify symptoms, diagnose root causes, and recommend interventions.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments (A/B tests and quasi-experiments) to measure the impact of quality and blueprint initiatives.
• Build and apply causal inference frameworks (diff-in-diff, synthetic controls, propensity matching) to estimate the true impact of product, policy, and operational changes.
• Leverage LLMs and AI-assisted analytics to extract structured insights from unstructured data and to scale root-cause taxonomy generation across millions of trips.
• Develop and validate metrics and dimensions that monitor customer experience health and surface emerging quality issues.
• Build and maintain analytical artifacts (queries, dashboards, readouts) that let stakeholders self-serve on standard questions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, and other Advanced Analytics teams to align on methodology, assumptions, and interpretation.
• Translate complex analyses into clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
Your Expertise
• 8+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or applied quantitative analysis (industry experience required).
• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R).
• Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments and applying statistical methods to real-world product problems.
• Experience with causal inference techniques (diff-in-diff, synthetic controls, propensity scoring) and a track record of applying them to ambiguous business problems.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted analytics workflows (Claude, ChatGPT, internal LLM agents) including prompt engineering, structured extraction from unstructured text, and using LLMs as classifiers or judges.
• Experience building metrics end-to-end, including definitions, validation, and implementation in data pipelines.
• Strong analytical judgment, ability to balance rigor with speed and clearly communicate tradeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior, non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against agreed timelines.
• Experience in marketplace, product analytics, customer experience, or trust & safety contexts strongly preferred.
Pay range is $114 - $119 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
THE PROMISES WE MAKE:
At Crystal Equation, we empower people and advance technology initiatives by building trust. Your recruiter will prep you for the interview, obtain feedback, guide you through any necessary paperwork and provide everything you need for a successful start. We will serve to empower you along the way and provide the path for your professional journey.
