Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Agentic AI Engineer specializing in the Banking and Payment domain to join our innovative team. This role involves developing, deploying, and optimizing advanced AI models to enhance financial services, payment processing, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in machine learning frameworks, big data technologies, and natural language processing to drive intelligent solutions that meet the evolving needs of the banking industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI applications within a dynamic financial technology environment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement machine learning models tailored for banking and payment systems using frameworks such as TensorFlow and other AI tools.
Lead model training, validation, and deployment processes to ensure scalable and reliable AI solutions.
Utilize big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and ETL tools like Talend to manage large datasets effectively.
Perform data mining and analytics to extract actionable insights from complex financial data sources.
Develop database schemas and optimize database design for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Integrate natural language processing capabilities to enhance customer interactions and automate banking operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop APIs and microservices for seamless integration of AI models into existing banking platforms.
Maintain expertise in emerging technologies such as quantum engineering and linked data to innovate solutions in the financial sector.
Ensure model deployment adheres to best practices for security, compliance, and performance across cloud environments like AWS.
Document processes, create technical specifications, and provide ongoing support for deployed AI systems.
Qualifications
4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent with strong CS fundamentals
Hands-on experience building with LLMs and modern Al app stack (agents, RAG, tool/function calling).
Strong proficiency in Python and building back-end services/APls.
Experience with at least one: LangChain/ LangGraph, Llamalndex, Semantic Kernel or equivalent frameworks.
Experience with vector databases and search (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, OpenSearch/Elastic, )
Experience deploying services in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GP) with basic DevOps practices
Strong understanding of security and privacy principles (PIl handling, least privilege, audit logging)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial services or other regulated domains (risk controls, compliance audit readiness)
Familiarity with model evaluation approaches (LLM-as-judge, rubric scoring, retrieval evals, offline/online testing)
Experience with messaging/eventing (Kafka/SQS), email ingestion pipelines, and document processing
Exposure to MRM concerns and governance
Bachelorβs or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related fields; relevant certifications are advantageous.
