The below client is a leading publishing, business intelligence, and exhibitions group, and grown through strategic acquisitions and mergers, strengthening its global presence in publishing and business intelligence Job Description • The AI Business Analyst translates business intent into clear, actionable requirements that guide the design and delivery of applied AI solutions — spanning generative AI, machine learning, and data automation systems. • Leveraging prior experience in AI-driven environments, the role ensures each use case is grounded in business value, technical feasibility, and data readiness. • Working as part of the AI Centre of Excellence (AI COE), the AI Business Analyst partners closely with the AI Product Lead, Data teams, and Engineering to shape use cases, gather detailed functional and data requirements, and ensure alignment between model needs, datasets, and organisational priorities. • This is a hands-on role suited to someone who brings analytical depth, curiosity, and structure to complex, fast-moving environments. Key Responsibilities • Expand and refine AI use cases across generative, predictive, and automation workflows, ensuring clarity of objectives, datasets, and model dependencies. • Develop detailed business, functional, and field-level data requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to enable effective design, build, and testing. • Map required datasets, fields, and metadata to model needs (LLMs, embeddings, classifiers, RAG), assessing availability, quality, completeness, and readiness. • Collaborate with Engineering on technical feasibility, data flows, integration points, and platform dependencies across build and buy solutions. • Partner with the AI Quality & Evaluation Manager to define success measures and ensure solutions deliver expected business impact. • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies to maintain alignment between business priorities and delivery progress. • Maintain deep awareness of the AI solution landscape — LLMs, embeddings, RAG architectures, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks — and how they enable scalable use cases. • Identify gaps, risks, and interdependencies early, driving proactive resolution and continuous improvement. • Document findings, decisions, and solution patterns to build institutional knowledge and enable reuse across projects. Experience & Attributes • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in product, data, or AI environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to shift between high-level conceptual thinking and detailed specification. • Experience translating business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Hands-on experience defining, designing, or supporting AI/ML or LLM-based solutions (e.g., generative assistants, recommendation engines, automation tools). • Practical understanding of how data, models, and APIs interact within business workflows. • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Comfortable working in an agile, iterative delivery environment. • Proactive, curious, and resourceful — brings clarity and momentum to ambiguous or complex challenges. • AI-fluent; able to reason through how datasets, model architectures, and platforms combine to produce measurable business value. • Thrives in high-trust, fast-paced, outcome-oriented teams.
