Role description
We are seeking an AI Data Engineer to support a growing AI-focused data engineering team, responsible for designing and building data models, pipelines, and ETL processes using Python. This hands-on role focuses on integrating AI applications with newly built and evolving data infrastructure.

Description
β’ Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, SQL queries, and Python scripts to support AI and data initiatives, including ETL and data processing.
β’ Build and support AI-related applications and services, including backend logic and contributions to Python-based front-end interfaces.
β’ Collaborate on AWS-based data infrastructure, using S3 for data storage and AWS Glue for ETL pipeline development.
β’ Plan and deliver project work end to end, including scoping, estimation, risk management, production support, and removal of delivery blockers.

Profile
β’ 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with strong Python and PySpark development for ETL and data processing.
β’ Experience building data solutions on AWS, including services such as S3, Glue, RDS, Lambda, Kafka (MSK), Step Functions, and EKS.
β’ Strong SQL and database expertise across relational systems, including performance tuning, data modeling, and advanced query development.
β’ Proven experience with system design, CI/CD tooling, and Agile/Scrum delivery, with a solid foundation in data warehousing and analytics best practices.
This role can only accomodate w2 arrangements. Please note that candidates must be local to Charlotte, North Carolina - there will be an onsite interview component.
