AI & Data Test Assurance Manager

AI & Data Test Assurance Manager Outside IR35 Contract Remote (must be located in the UK) On behalf of a global pharmaceutical organisation, I am looking for an experienced AI & Data Test Assurance Manager to lead test assurance across complex, multi-party technology environments. This role sits at the intersection of AI, data, security, and regulatory compliance, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working across teams to bring clarity, control, and confidence to emerging technologies. The Role You’ll be responsible for defining and delivering robust test assurance strategies across AI, data, and platform services. Working closely with development teams, security, and third-party suppliers, you’ll ensure systems are safe, compliant, and production-ready in fast-moving, agile environments. You’ll play a key role in shaping how AI and data systems are tested, governed, and trusted — influencing practices that matter at scale. Key Responsibilities: • Lead test assurance across AI, data, and platform services, including audit, controls, and governance • Design and execute testing for observability and monitoring of LLMs and agent-based systems • Oversee agent and data privacy control testing, with a strong focus on IDAM (human and agentic identities) • Provide QA assurance across environment, platform, and infrastructure, including geographical data location and protection controls • Manage multi-party test phases, working with DevSecOps teams and third-party products and suppliers • Develop and maintain Test Assurance Frameworks in complex, large-scale environments • Work alongside multiple development teams to embed quality and assurance throughout delivery • Support delivery within a SAFe / Agile framework Skills & Experience: • Strong experience or understanding of testing audit, controls, and assurance in complex systems • Hands-on experience with AI, data, or advanced analytics testing • Proven background in test assurance framework development • Experience working in large, multi-team and multi-supplier environments • Solid understanding of security, privacy, and identity controls • Familiarity with EU AI Act and/or DORA regulations would be advantageous • Experience as a Test Lead within a pharmaceutical domain would be extremely beneficial • Comfortable operating in scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery models Please apply online with your CV.
