Seeking an AI Developer.
Position Summary:
Forward-thinking AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence solutions that enhance public services, streamline operations, and support data-driven decision-making.
This role will utilize Microsoft Azure AI services to develop intelligent applications that serve the needs of residents, city departments, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement AI/ML models using Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, and Cognitive Services.
β’ Develop and maintain chatbots, document intelligence, predictive analytics, and natural language processing (NLP) solutions.
β’ Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and city departments to identify opportunities for AI integration.
β’ Deploy and monitor AI models using Azure ML pipelines, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
β’ Ensure AI solutions are secure, ethical, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
β’ Document models, workflows, and APIs for internal use and future scalability.
β’ Stay current with AI trends, tools, and best practices, especially within the public sector.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
β’ 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development, preferably in a government or enterprise environment.
β’ Proficiency in Python, Azure AI tools, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
β’ Experience with Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Data Lake.
β’ Strong understanding of data privacy, model governance, and AI ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with LLM customization, RAG pipelines, or fine-tuning models in Azure.
β’ Familiarity with Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric
β’ Knowledge of municipal operations, smart city technologies, or civic tech.
