We are looking for an experienced AI-Driven Full-Stack Developer to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor on a project-by-project basis. This role is ideal for a developer who is comfortable stepping into active client work, contributing quickly, and delivering clean, reliable solutions across web, backend, and AI-related initiatives. About the Role This is a remote contract opportunity for a developer who can support a mix of client-facing and internal projects as needs arise. You will work across website development, backend systems, integrations, AI-enhanced functionality, technical troubleshooting, and platform improvements. The right person for this role is technically strong, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with our internal team. What You’ll Do • Build front-end components and applications using React or similar JavaScript frameworks • Develop custom functionality in WordPress using PHP, including work within Elementor or similar builders • Write Python scripts to support backend automation and AI-enhanced functionality • Architect, build, and integrate RESTful APIs • Support the development of internal tools, workflow automations, and AI-powered systems • Debug, test, and improve websites, applications, and internal platforms • Manage and work within Postgres, Supabase, or MySQL databases • Use modern tools such as Cursor, ChatGPT, Zapier, and Vercel to streamline development workflows • Provide technical support, bug fixes, performance improvements, and troubleshooting across client projects • Support and enhance existing PHP, Laravel, and WordPress environments • Maintain hosting environments across WP Engine, Vercel, and AWS • Assist with server provisioning and dev, stage, and live deployments for internal tools and client solutions Required Skills • Strong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript frameworks • Experience with WordPress and PHP development • Strong backend scripting experience with Python • Experience with API development and third-party integrations • Working knowledge of SQL-based databases • Experience with WP Engine hosting environments • Comfort working with AI development tools • Ability to manage work independently and deliver high-quality results Bonus Skills • Familiarity with Elementor • Experience with GitHub deployment workflows • Experience with Supabase • Previous agency or freelance project experience Preferred Background • Experience working in a fast-paced digital agency or client-service environment • Comfortable contributing to multiple projects with changing priorities • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail • Clear, professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders • Interest in AI-driven development, automation, and modern digital systems Contract Details • 1099 independent contractor • Remote, U.S.-based only • Project-based / as-needed engagement • Opportunity for ongoing work based on performance, availability, and project fit • Compensation determined by project scope, timeline, and experience Communication Expectations This role involves regular collaboration with U.S.-based clients and team members.
