Title: AI Engineer – PLM Data Migration & Automation (W2) Location: Dearborn, MI Duration: Long Term Position Summary We are seeking an experienced AI/LLM Engineer with strong Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) domain expertise to support large-scale PLM transformation initiatives. The role focuses on automating migration, validation, and reconciliation activities between Teamcenter and 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platforms. The ideal candidate will combine PLM knowledge, data engineering capabilities, and AI/agentic automation experience to streamline complex migration workflows, reduce manual intervention, and improve data quality across enterprise engineering systems. Key Responsibilities • Support migration of PLM data from Teamcenter to 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platforms. • Analyze and understand PLM data structures including: • BOM (Bill of Materials) • CAD datasets • Metadata and related engineering objects • Design and develop AI/LLM-based automation solutions for: • BOM mismatch detection and correction • Naming inconsistencies • Data reconciliation • Automated validation workflows • Build intelligent agents and AI-driven decision systems to minimize manual data handling. • Work with large-scale PLM datasets (10+ TB Teamcenter metadata and growing 3DX repositories). • Develop and enhance migration scripts and automation utilities using Java, XPDM, and related technologies. • Collaborate with global PLM platform teams and stakeholders across multiple geographic locations. • Improve data transfer efficiency, traceability, and governance between PLM platforms. • Identify recurring migration issues and implement reusable AI-powered solutions. • Support active engineering and flight programs requiring historical and surrogate data migration. Required Skills & Qualifications PLM Domain Expertise • Strong understanding of PLM concepts and engineering data management. • Experience with: • Teamcenter • 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) • BOM structures • CAD data and datasets • Metadata handling • Knowledge of PLM migration and integration processes. AI / Automation Skills • Experience developing AI/LLM-based solutions and intelligent automation systems. • Hands-on experience with: • Generative AI • AI agents / Agentic AI frameworks • LLM orchestration • Automation workflows • Ability to design AI-assisted validation and correction mechanisms. Technical Skills • Strong programming experience in: • Java • Python • Scripting and automation tools • Experience with XPDM or similar PLM migration frameworks. • Experience handling large-scale enterprise data environments. • Understanding of data pipelines, ETL, and metadata transformation. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering product development environments. • Exposure to enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives. • Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent frameworks. • Experience with cloud platforms and scalable data processing architectures. • Knowledge of engineering change management and configuration management processes.
