AI Governance Analyst (1099) Downtown Houston, TX (Hybrid) | 1099 Contract | $70-$85/hr ElevationHR is partnering with a Fortune 500 energy and utilities organization headquartered in Downtown Houston to identify an AI Governance Analyst to support enterprise AI, data governance, compliance, and technology risk initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 3-5 years of experience in IT Audit, Technology Risk, Data Governance, Compliance, Cyber Risk, or AI Governance who wants to help shape responsible AI adoption within a large, regulated enterprise environment. What You'll Do • Support enterprise AI governance and responsible AI initiatives • Assist with AI risk assessments, governance controls, and compliance activities • Partner with Data Governance, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, Risk, Legal, and Technology teams • Help establish governance processes for AI and machine learning use cases • Support data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance programs • Contribute to governance documentation, reporting, and audit readiness activities • Participate in risk reviews and control assessments for emerging technologies Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience in: • IT Audit • Technology Risk • Data Governance • Compliance • Information Governance • Cyber Risk • AI Governance • Experience supporting regulated environments • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Understanding of governance frameworks, controls, and risk management practices Preferred Experience • Internal or external IT audit experience • Knowledge of NIST, COBIT, GDPR, CCPA, SOC, or similar frameworks • Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or Informatica • Exposure to AI governance, model governance, or responsible AI initiatives • Familiarity with data lineage, metadata management, and data quality concepts • Exposure to Monte Carlo is a plus Position Details • Hybrid role based in Downtown Houston • Long-term 1099 contract • Compensation: $70-$85/hr • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder required • No Corp-to-Corp arrangements • No relocation assistance If you're looking to build your career at the intersection of AI, governance, risk, compliance, and emerging technologies, we'd love to connect. #AIGovernance #DataGovernance #ITAudit #TechnologyRisk #InternalAudit #DataManagement #RiskManagement #Compliance #ResponsibleAI #ArtificialIntelligence #InformationGovernance #HoustonJobs #HoustonTech #EnergyJobs #HiringNow
