Role description
Contractor | 6-Month Engagement | ~40 hrs/week | Hybrid Reports to VP, Partner & Customer Operations
About the Role
Living Security runs a lean customer operations & support team backed by AI agents and AI-powered workflows we've built and are actively expanding. This role exists to operate, own, and extend those workflows. You'll be embedded in a department that is genuinely AI-native, working directly with leadership on the systems that touch customers and partners every day.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Implementation Each month, use our existing Claude-based content skill to generate training content, then implement it across platforms using established templates. You'll help build the AI agent designed to take over these implementation steps end-to-end — and once it's running, you'll own monitoring it to ensure quality and catch gaps.
Customer Onboarding Provision new customer accounts and execute onboarding setup tasks. This is deliberate, hands-on work — some of it isn't automated yet, and part of your role is helping us get there.
Live Chat Operations Own our customer-facing live chat channel. The AI agent handles the majority of interactions — your job is to oversee its performance, escalate what it can't handle, and actively build out new skills and capabilities so it can do more over time.
AI Support Queue (Cross-Training) Cross-train on our AI-powered support system, as a secondary responsibility. You'll understand how it works, cover when needed, and contribute to improving response quality.
AI Agent & Workflow Development Build, maintain, and improve the AI agents and automations that run this department — including Claude skills, n8n workflows, and Zapier or similar integrations. We have a foundation; you'll extend it, document it, and keep it running well.
You're the Right Fit If You...
• Have built AI agents or automated workflows in a work context — not just experimented, but shipped something that runs and gets used
• Are hands-on with tools like Claude, n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar and can wire them together without needing a detailed spec
• Have 2–4 years in operations, customer support, or a coordination role and are genuinely good at the fundamentals: follow-through, clear communication, catching errors before they compound
• Can be trusted with sensitive access — API keys, integrations, internal systems — and treat that access with the appropriate seriousness
• Are comfortable in ambiguity, work well with minimal direction, and don't wait for someone to define the efficient path
• Write clearly and can turn a messy process into documentation someone else can follow
Bonus Points
• HubSpot, Pylon, Jira, Linear, or Contentful experience
• Hands-on with n8n, Zapier, Make, or equivalent
• Prompt engineering, agent design, or LLM workflow experience
• SaaS or e-learning background
Logistics
• Contractor engagement, ~40 hrs/week
• 6-month initial term; hours will taper as automation matures
• Local in Austin
• Reports to VP, Partner & Customer Operations
Living Security is building the future of human risk management. We're a small team doing work that matters — and we're looking for people who want to be part of building what comes next, not just maintaining what exists.
Hourly: $25-$28 per hour dependent on experience
