AI PDLC Enablement Lead

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in O'Fallon, MO that is seeking an AI PDLC Enablement Lead. Overview: We are seeking a hands-on AI practitioner to partner directly with product and engineering teams to accelerate the adoption of AI across the product development lifecycle. This role focuses on working side-by-side with teams to apply AI in real workflows, uncover what works, and create scalable, reusable best practices. Success is measured by the impact and repeatability of solutions-not by team size or delivery ownership. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, leads by example, and is passionate about turning AI experimentation into real, lasting business value. Key Responsibilities: • Embed within cross-functional teams (engineering, product, QA) to apply AI tools in day-to-day work • Design and implement practical AI use cases across design, development, testing, and operations • Create standards, playbooks, and reusable templates to scale AI adoption • Integrate AI capabilities into existing toolchains (IDEs, CI/CD, testing, monitoring) • Lead workshops, training, and hands-on coaching to enable teams • Define and track metrics (cycle time, defect rates, test coverage, stability) • Ensure responsible AI practices, including data privacy, security, and compliance Requirements • 10+ years of experience in software development, platform engineering, or consulting • Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle • Experience with modern AI tools (e.g., generative AI, developer copilots, automation frameworks) • Proven ability to influence teams and drive change without formal authority • Experience in large, complex, or regulated environments • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills What Success Looks Like • Measurable improvements in engineering efficiency, quality, and delivery speed • Increased adoption of AI tools and practices across teams • Creation of sustainable, repeatable patterns that scale beyond individual projects • Clear documentation and enablement that reduces long-term dependency on external support The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
