AI Solutions Architect

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced AI Solutions Architect to join their team near the Bay City, TX area. This opportunity will be hybrid for the first few months and will remain remote after, with the occasional business trips. EXPERIENCE • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in AI/ML solution design or enterprise architecture. • Demonstrated success architecting and deploying AI solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). • Strong enterprise systems knowledge—ERP, data warehousing, analytics, or workflow automation platforms. • Experience applying AI for business transformation, optimization, and workforce enablement in large organizations. • Background in regulated or critical-infrastructure environments (e.g., energy, utilities, manufacturing) desirable. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS • Certifications in AI or Cloud Architecture (Azure AI Engineer, Data Engineer, etc.) (Preferred) ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Define the enterprise AI architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with IT modernization and digital transformation goals. • Design scalable AI/ML platforms, pipelines, and integration patterns spanning cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. • Partner with business and IT leaders to translate organizational goals into AI solution designs that drive measurable outcomes. • Lead the architecture and governance of data, models, and AI services, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements. • Establish standards for AI pipeline development, model deployment, and lifecycle management within enterprise systems. • Collaborate with infrastructure, data engineering, and application teams to integrate AI capabilities into ERP, analytics, and business process ecosystems. • Evaluate and recommend AI tools, platforms, and frameworks that align with existing enterprise architecture standards (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Oracle, SAP). • Provide technical oversight for AI implementation projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability. • Support training and adoption of AI technologies across IT and business units, promoting a culture of innovation and responsible AI use. • Stay aware of emerging trends in enterprise AI, digital workflows, and automation to continuously optimize the technology landscape. SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, MLOps principles, and data architecture best practices. • Strong grasp of cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI governance principles. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to work fluidly between technical and executive audiences. • Strategic problem-solver who can balance innovation with risk management and operational stability. • Proven leadership in cross-functional collaboration and digital solution delivery. • Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, Anthropic, etc. • Expertise with Microsoft CoPilot Studio, Power Platform, or similar generative AI ecosystems. • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and knowledge of data engineering frameworks. • Proficiency in cloud AI platforms (Azure AI, AWS Sagemaker, or GCP Vertex AI). • Understanding prompt optimization, retrieval-augmented generation, and model deployment pipelines. • Proven experience in designing production-grade chatbots and AI agents.
