Role description
Qualifications
β’ Must have-Β AWS Bedrock, LLM (Claude preferred), Python/lambdas.
β’ 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, AI/ML, or related fields.
β’ Deep understanding of large language models (e.g. Claude) and their capabilities.
β’ Proven experience designing prompts for autonomous agents and multi-step reasoning tasks.
β’ Strong knowledge of agentic frameworks and patterns (ReAct, Plan-and-Execute, Reflection, etc.).
β’ Strong experience with AWS Bedrock (Agents, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, and foundational models).
β’ Proficiency with AWS serverless services: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3.
β’ Knowledge of AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, and VPC configurations.
β’ Familiar with Terraform and HCP.
β’ Proficiency in Python and experience with AI agent frameworks (e.g LangChain).
β’ Experience with API integration and tool-use patterns for AI agents.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ A breadth of experience building software solutions (through a strong mix of independent research/projects and industry expertise).
Additional experience expectations:
β’ 5-9 yearsβ previous experience in software development. (Either 9 years of experience specifically in software development or seven years of experience in software development in combination with 2 years alternative experience in a related field). Ideally has a portfolio of work β code samples, etc.
β’ Deep and solid understanding of APIs. Have been involved in designing/building/implementing/consuming APIs.
β’ Familiarity with several frameworks. Resulting code is concise and easy-to-follow.
β’ Experience with automation and optimization. Looks for ways to create repeatable patterns that increase the efficiency of the team.
β’ Experience and ability to manage and optimize databases.
β’ Understanding of functional programming and how to apply functional concepts in any language. Quick to picking up a new language or adopting a more recent version of a language.
β’ Familiarity and able to comfortably work with multiple platforms.
β’ Experience turning complex ideas into user stories. From that, can turn user stories into workable solutions, providing estimates to complete that work, and breaking down complex work into smaller components.
β’ Previous experience collaborating on a cross-functional team.
β’ Deep understanding of development cycle.
β’ Ability to debug and avoid future problems by building more robust solutions.
β’ Ability to look at previous personal or team experience and use this to analyze mistakes/successes, draw conclusions, and design future solutions. Resulting solutions have few bugs and quick remediation times.
β’ Experience building solutions with the larger team in mind. Solutions have the goal of improving software engineering at the team level.
β’ Experience with teaching and mentoring team members at various levels.
β’ A deep and solid understanding of cyber security principles such as authentication, authorization and encryption.
β’ Experience working with one or more CI/CD stacks and associated best practices. Ability to setup CI/CD for new products with no guidance. Recommends and implements modifications to CI/CD processes when continuous improvement opportunities are identified.
