AI Technical Lead

We are looking for an AI Technical Lead opportunity with one of our clients. Job title: AI Technical Lead Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite) Duration: Contract to Hire (W2) Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. • Define AI architecture, coding standards, and development best practices. • Mentor and guide AI developers, data scientists, and engineers. • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality and security standards. • Drive technical decision-making and solution design discussions. AI/ML Development: • Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, clustering, recommendation systems, and NLP use cases. • Design and build Generative AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs). • Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks. • Optimize model performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop APIs and microservices for AI solution integration. Stakeholder Management: • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements. • Translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions. • Present technical solutions and recommendations to leadership teams. Project Delivery: • Lead AI project planning, estimation, and execution. • Ensure timely delivery of AI initiatives with high quality. • Manage risks, dependencies, and technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills: AI & Machine Learning: • Strong experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI. • Experience with LLMs such as OpenAI GPT models, Anthropic Claude, and open-source models like Meta Llama. • Hands-on experience with NLP, Computer Vision, and predictive analytics. • Knowledge of model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment. Programming & Frameworks: • Expert-level proficiency in Python. • Experience with AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow PyTorch Scikit-learn LangChain Llama Index • Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture. Cloud & Data Platforms: • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. • Experience with MLOps and deployment tools. • Knowledge of vector databases and knowledge management platforms. DevOps & MLOps: • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and model deployment frameworks. • Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
