About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Full Stack Data Scientist to join an innovative team working at the intersection of healthcare, computational biophysics, biological system modeling/simulation, and machine learning.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior team members on high-performance, computationally intensive algorithms and contribute to optimizing them for scalability and efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across data science, software engineering, and domain-specific modeling in a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code for algorithm development and data processing
β’ Assist in optimizing complex computational algorithms used in biological system modeling and simulation
β’ Collaborate on the development and maintenance of full stack data applications and visualization tools
β’ Work with large-scale datasets, particularly in healthcare and bioinformatics domains
β’ Support implementation of classical and deep learning models using Python-based frameworks
β’ Help integrate and analyze biological and clinical data using high-performance computing (HPC) techniques
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
β’ Masterβs degree is a strong plus
β’ Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, machine learning, and algorithm development
β’ Ability to understand and work with complex algorithms and dynamic data structures
β’ Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and NumPy
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with SQL, C++, or MATLAB
β’ Familiarity with front-end tools for visualization (HTML, CSS, D3.js)
β’ Exposure to full stack development (e.g., Flask, MongoDB)
β’ Experience working in Linux environments and scripting with Bash
β’ Exposure to high-performance computing (HPC) or parallel computing
