AI/ML Contractor

Position Summary Contractor Location - Hartford CT | Atlanta,GA | St. Paul, MN Work you'll do We are seeking an AI/ML Engineer Contractor to develop and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions for analytics, automation, and business transformation. This contract role requires strong hands-on experience in Python, AWS, and modern AI technologies, with involvement across prototyping, implementation, and production support. Key Responsibilities • Build, train, and deploy ML and AI models using structured and unstructured data • Develop solutions using NLP, predictive analytics, computer vision, and GenAI • Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, and tuning • Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and multimodal AI • Contribute to RAG, vector databases, tool use, and function calling • Support agentic AI, multi-agent workflows, and proof-of-concepts • Partner with engineering, data, and business teams to move solutions to production • Support MLOps, AIOps, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and governance • Document solutions and communicate effectively with stakeholders Required Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent experience • 6–9 years of experience in AWS and Python • Strong experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, or advanced analytics • Solid understanding of ML fundamentals and model evaluation • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and multimodal AI • Familiarity with LangChain, Strands, or CrewAI • Experience with vector databases, RAG, and function calling • Exposure to AWS Bedrock; Azure or GCP is a plus • Understanding of MLOps, AIOps, and CI/CD for AI solutions • Hands-on experience with ReactJS and NodeJS • Strong communication and collaboration skills Mandatory Skillsets Phyton | OpenAI / LLMs | ReactJS | NodeJS | Jenkins | GitHub | Claude | Copilot The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $85 - $90 per hour.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
