Role: Alation Architect Location: Harford Connecticut - Onsite Type: Contract
Job Summary Seeking an Associate Principal with 11 to 15 years of experience in Alation to lead data catalog initiatives and enhance data governance within the organization Alation on cloud migration experience will be preferred Job Description
Act as a subject matter expert for Alation driving the strategic implementation and management of the Alation data catalog platform
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective metadata management and data governance
Oversee the integration of Alation with various data sources and business intelligence tools to support data discovery and accessibility
Develop and enforce data cataloging standards and best practices to optimize metadata management processes
Stay current with the latest Alation features and recommend enhancements to improve platform capabilities and user adoption
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the configuration deployment and ongoing administration of the Alation on cloud platform Partner with data stewards analysts and business users to gather requirements and deliver tailored Alation solutions
Design and conduct training sessions and create documentation to enable effective use of Alation functionalities
Monitor platform usage and adoption across business units providing insights and reports to stakeholders
Collaborate closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize metadata management and data catalog processes
Provide expert level support and guidance on Alation best practices troubleshooting and issue resolution
