What are we looking for in our Analyst-Business 2? Russell Tobin's client, an American Electric Utility company, is hiring a Business Analyst at Santa Ana, CA Apply Now! Employment Type: Contract/Onsite Location: Santa Ana, CA 92705 Duration: 12+ months with possible extension or conversion Pay range: $30/hr - $32.96/hr Schedule: Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Conduct desktop geospatial analysis to locate missing pole assets and identification details • Validate pole asset locations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD Map 3D, Google Earth, and LiDAR • Identify missing records in records management systems (e.g., SAP, GIS, circuit mapping databases) • Review field-captured photographic evidence and document key findings • Consolidate research and field data to prepare documentation for system of record corrections • Analyze work order documentation to extract and log critical asset information • Research discrepancies between field conditions and digital records; recommend record corrections Required Skills & Attributes: • Experience working with or facilitating cross-functional project teams • Strong spatial awareness; ability to read maps, interpret directions, and analyze geospatial inputs • 2+ years of experience in problem identification, root cause analysis, solution evaluation, and reporting • Experience in technical writing, process documentation, and workflow analysis Desired Skills & Attributes: • 2+ years of experience using one or more of the following: AutoCAD Map 3D, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ESRI • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with functions like VLOOKUP and IF statements • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science (GIS emphasis preferred) • Experience in the public utility industry • Familiarity with records management systems such as SAP, ESRI, ArcGIS, SAS • Proficient in creating and editing detailed reports, graphs, and presentations using business applications Education Requirement: • Associate’s Degree (minimum) Benefits that Russell Tobin offers: Russell Tobin offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors.
