Role description
Analyst / Developer – Specialty 3 Application Operations – Tier 2 Support Location: Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite; may transition to 5 days onsite) Duration: 12?month contract Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift Compensation: $60–$63/hour (W2) with medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits About The Role This role supports a customer?facing, cloud?hosted application environment with a strong focus on Tier 2 operational support. The position emphasizes incident triage, issue resolution, monitoring, and automation, ensuring application reliability and availability. The ideal candidate brings a hands?on operations mindset, experience troubleshooting cloud services, and comfort working in high?ticket?volume support environments. Key Responsibilities • Triage and resolve Tier 2 application support tickets in alignment with defined SLAs • Spend approximately 50–70% of time handling and resolving support tickets • Troubleshoot application issues across cloud services, APIs, and databases • Perform root?cause analysis using logs, monitoring tools, and data comparison techniques • Monitor application availability, performance, and alerts • Partner with teams implementing and expanding monitoring and alerting capabilities • Develop scripts and automation to reduce recurring incidents and manual operational work • Document resolutions clearly and provide follow?up communication to stakeholders • Participate in off?shift or weekend escalation support as needed Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in application support OR technical certification with 8+ years of relevant experience • Minimum 2 years of hands?on experience supporting cloud?based applications • Strong cloud experience, with emphasis on Azure (AWS experience is a plus) • Solid experience using SQL / SQL Server for data analysis and issue triage • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) at a basic to intermediate level • Exposure to application frameworks such as JavaScript, Angular, or Spring Boot • Experience with application monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Application Insights, Grafana, ThousandEyes, or similar) • Hands?on scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar languages • Demonstrated operational mindset focused on troubleshooting, reliability, and availability Preferred Qualifications • Background in data operations or data analytics supporting production applications • Experience improving application availability and performance in an operations or SRE?adjacent role • Familiarity with automation pipelines or CI/CD tooling • Experience working with high?availability or autoscaling cloud environments Soft Skills & Expectations • Strong analytical and problem?solving abilities • Clear, professional communication with technical and business stakeholders • Ability to prioritize work in a fast?paced, ticket?driven environment • Ownership mentality when handling incidents and driving resolution • Comfortable working in a hybrid, customer?facing operational setting #INDOEM
