Job Overview:
The client is seeking a highly skilled, self-driven, and results-oriented Senior Data & Analytics Consultant to support Chief Administrative Office (CAO) data enablement and management activities. This role involves gathering and writing data use case requirements, performing data analysis, and developing data relationship designs. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple workstreams, and engaging with business partners to define and deliver impactful and reusable data solutions. This position is critical to enabling CAO-wide data initiatives and will directly influence how data is leveraged across key business functions.
Responsibilities:
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for data use cases.
β’ Design and architect scalable data models and data element relationships with a strong emphasis on usability, performance, and data accuracy.
β’ Identify and write requirements for data source integrity monitoring.
β’ Support database enhancement requests and contribute to logical data design solutions.
β’ Participate in data management documentation, including data lineage, data sharing agreements, and other metadata management.
β’ Evaluate upstream system of record changes for potential data impact and provide recommendations.
β’ Translate business needs into actionable data requirements and technical specifications.
β’ Partner with technology and data governance groups to ensure alignment with the teamβs and enterprise data standards.
Qualifications:
β’ 4+ years of Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
β’ Proficiency in MSSQL, including the ability to write, read, and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
β’ Experience in data cleansing, validation, and transformation logic using Alteryx and SSMS.
β’ Ability to define clear data sourcing and transform logic requirements and database/table/column specifications.
β’ Experience with metadata management and data governance practices.
β’ Proficiency in data profiling and root cause analysis for data quality issues.
β’ Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
β’ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex data environments.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with Google Data Cloud stack (Dataplex, BigQuery, etc.).
β’ Familiarity with SSIS packages and jobs.
β’ Familiarity with Agile processes and Atlassian software (Jira).
