BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated for an Analytics Engineer – Creator API opportunity with our client. Title: Analytics Engineer – Creator API Location: Redmond WA – onsite Duration: 2+ months (chance for extension) Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Title: Analytics Engineer – Creator API (Potential Stockholm Candidate) About the Role We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to own and evolve the data layer powering the Creator API within the Minecraft ecosystem. In this role, you will design and maintain data pipelines that deliver high-quality creator performance metrics — including content views, acquisition, revenue, and engagement — to the Minecraft Marketplace and external creators via API endpoints. This position sits at the intersection of analytics engineering and product development, ensuring data is accurate, privacy-compliant, and available at the right granularity and latency to support a thriving creator economy. Key Responsibilities • Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines (e.g., Databricks, SQL) • Design and implement data models that support creator-facing APIs • Deliver clean, reliable, and privacy-safe datasets for consumption by APIs and downstream systems • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable data solutions • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across all pipelines • Contribute to API design with a focus on usability and performance for creators Must-Have Soft Skills (Top Priority) • Strong critical thinking and analytical mindset • Creative problem-solving ability • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Stakeholder-facing confidence and interpersonal skills • Ability to translate vague or evolving business needs into clear data solutions Technical Expectations (Baseline) Strong in: • Data modeling • Data transformation workflows • Understanding data context and downstream usage Working knowledge of: • DevOps practices • Data engineering concepts Note: Technical gaps can be trained if the candidate demonstrates strong aptitude and the right mindset.
