Role description
Our client, are a Startup/Scaleup Insurance company that are looking for an Analytics Engineer. This is a Full time contract position (8 hours per day, 5 days per week) and need someone to start ASAP!
Key Skills:
• Advanced analytics engineering & data modelling: Strong SQL and dbt expertise, with experience designing scalable data warehouses, dimensional models (fact/dimension tables, SCDs), testing data models, and building reliable reporting layers.
• Data pipeline engineering & automation: Hands-on experience with Prefect (or Airflow/Dagster), Python, Git/CI/CD, and cloud platforms (preferably Azure) to build, refactor, automate, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Migration, stakeholder collaboration & business insight: Ability to lead legacy-to-new platform migrations, work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, document data lineage, and ideally bring insurance/insurtech domain knowledge.
Contract Details:
• This role is paying £500 per day (Outside IR35)
• 3 days onsite per week in Central London
• Initial contact is 2-3 Months with likelihood to extend
• Must have right to work in the UK without needing sponsorship
