We're supporting a growing, technology-led organisation as they undertake a major transformation of their analytics platform and data estate.
This is a hands-on Analytics Engineering contract focused on data migration, reconciliation and rebuilding core analytics models. You'll play a key role in helping the business transition away from a legacy architecture while ensuring the accuracy, integrity and trustworthiness of critical business data.
Working closely with a small, highly collaborative data team, you'll be responsible for investigating legacy datasets, designing robust dbt models and supporting the build-out of a modern analytics environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain analytics models using dbt
• Reconcile and validate historical datasets during a major migration programme
• Develop and optimise SQL transformations within BigQuery
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues
• Design robust testing and validation frameworks
• Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to understand legacy data structures and business rules
• Contribute to data governance, documentation and lineage initiatives
Essential Experience
• Strong commercial experience with dbt
• Advanced SQL skills
• BigQuery or modern cloud data warehouse experience
• Data modelling and analytics engineering best practices
• Data migration and reconciliation projects
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation and testing
Desirable Experience
• HubSpot data or CRM migration experience
• Data lineage/catalogue tooling (Secoda, DataHub, OpenMetadata, Atlan etc.)
• GCP experience
• Looker or modern BI tooling
