Title : API Governance Framework SME Location : Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Rate : $60/w2 or $70 on c2c Relevant Experience (in Yrs.) : 9+ Detailed Job Description: We are seeking an experienced API Governance Framework SME/Lead to establish and lead the enterprise API Governance Framework, ensuring secure, scalable, compliant, and reusable APIs across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement an enterprise API Governance Framework. • Review and align API policies with security standards. • Define API lifecycle governance, approval workflows, and governance KPIs. • Manage API inventory, catalog, versioning, deprecation, and retirement processes. • Conduct governance reviews, compliance audits, gap analysis, and roadmap planning. • Establish governance forums, escalation processes, and decision-tracking mechanisms. • Define API design standards for REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and Event-Driven APIs. • Ensure API security using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, API Gateway controls, OWASP API Security Top 10, and Zero Trust principles. • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, DevOps, Cloud, and Business teams to drive API standardization. Required Skills: • 8+ years of experience in API Governance, API Management, Enterprise Architecture, or Cloud Architecture. • Strong experience with API governance frameworks and enterprise API lifecycle management. • Expertise in REST, GraphQL, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger, AsyncAPI, and Event-Driven Architecture. • Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, API Threat Protection, and OWASP API Security. • Experience with Azure API Management, Apigee, MuleSoft, Akamai Noname, or AWS API Gateway. • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
