Senior API Integration Lead / Developer
Job Type: Contract (6+ Months)
Location: Remote – US (Pacific Time Zone Overlap Preferred)

Job Summary
Seeking a Senior API Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-level partner integrations across supply chain systems. The ideal candidate will have strong Python backend development experience, API integration expertise, and the ability to build scalable production-ready integrations with internal platforms, Oracle SCM, finance systems, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain integrations using Python, REST APIs, Webhooks, and SFTP.
• Design OpenAPI specifications, integration configurations, and payload mappings.
• Build robust integration workflows with validation, error handling, retries, replay mechanisms, and logging.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and production support for integration issues.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, engineering teams, and external partners.
• Deliver integrations independently from design through production deployment.
• Support scalable API and data exchange solutions across enterprise platforms.
Required Skills
• Strong Python API / Backend Development experience.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, Webhooks, and SFTP.
• Experience with API integrations, payload mapping, and data transformation.
• Knowledge of input validation, exception handling, retry mechanisms, replay, and idempotency patterns.
• Experience creating OpenAPI specifications and API documentation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and production support.
• Experience with audit logs, DLQs (Dead Letter Queues), operational debugging, and monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and deliver production-grade integrations.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with Oracle Fusion SCM.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Temporal, Databricks, or Kepler.
• Experience with B2B/API integrations and supply chain processes:
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Inventory Management
• Experience using AI coding tools (Codex or similar).
• Ability to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area once per month.
