Job Description
Client is seeking a API Engineer/Architect who is passionate about all things data and has the desire to turn API data migration into a competitive advantage. Employees in this role need to be well versed with Google, GCP and APIs which can include data management, data quality and data migrations. Job Responsibilities
• Migrate API settings and configs used to process disparate data sets
• Migrate proxies, shared flows, reports, monitors, users, customers, and custom configs.
• Volume and performance testing experience. Experience with PERF and INT load tests with both simulators and host systems integrations.
• Identify technical challenges and communicate obstacles and risks
• Execute complex technical tasks in a straightforward and efficient way.
Job Requirements
• 8 years of relevant IT experience and 3 years of experience with Java coding
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or significant industry experience
• Direct technical hands-on experience on at least one migration to Apigee X through full project lifecycle from prior Apigee version
• Excellent coding skills with expertise in Java, REST APIs, SQL, and micro-services
• Experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, Google Cloud (GCP), MySQL, Big Query, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Anthos
• Experience with development & operations in cloud native technologies (GCP required)
• Broad knowledge of open-source libraries & packages
• Well versed with big data concepts and data engineering principles or techniques
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Must have a go-getter attitude and a willingness to pick up new technologies, data migration tools/techniques, and programming languages
• Must be a team player and open to learning as well as sharing knowledge with others
Preferred Qualifications
• Direct technical hands-on experience on 2-3 Apigee X migrations from prior Apigee version across the full project lifecycle
• Delivered migration projects within a preferred Google service provider
• Working knowledge of Python, Java, React.JS & Angular.JS
• Professional certifications
• Knowledge of Cloud architecture, networking and protocols
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
