Role description
PAY:$80-120/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.
Hybrid position, onsite work required 3 days per week in Dallas, TX, Jersey City, NJ or Tampa, FL.
This is a contract to hire role all candidates must be willing to convert to perm.
W2 Candidates Highly Preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
β’ Act as a technical expert on Appian-based applications
β’ Lead end-to-end design and implementation of BPM solutions using Appian platform
β’ Work with Business System Analysts to translate process requirements into optimized Appian workflows
β’ Drive process automation, workflow orchestration, and case management solutions
β’ Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud teams to deploy scalable platforms on AWS
β’ Research and evaluate Appian Solutions aligned with internal standards
β’ Optimize application and workflow performance, reducing latency and bottlenecks
β’ Leverage AI-assisted tools such as AWS Kiro, Amazon Q, and Microsoft Copilot for development, automation, and documentation
β’ Ensure integration of Appian solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures
β’ Provide technical leadership across development, testing, deployment, and production support
β’ Ensure adherence to accessibility (WCAG), usability, and design standards
β’ Promote best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, and Appian deployment strategies
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree preferred or equivalent experience
β’ Minimum of 8+ years of related experience 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and BPM platforms
β’ Strong expertise in Appian platform
β’ Experience designing enterprise Appian workflows, case management, and automation solutions
β’ Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and REST API integrations
β’ Experience working with Appian objects (process models, rules, interfaces, records)
β’ Experience integrating with databases and enterprise systems (Oracle, Snowflake)
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes
β’ Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven
β’ Hands-on experience with AI developer tools (AWS Kiro, Amazon Q, Microsoft Copilot)
β’ Strong understanding of process optimization, workflow automation, and business rule implementation
β’ Experience with Agile methodology and iterative development models
β’ Strong UI/UX architecture skills including workflow design, usability principles, and responsive interfaces
β’ Experience with testing frameworks and automation strategies
β’ Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and scalable architecture
β’ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Have Skills
β’ Experience implementing Appian solutions in financial services or regulated industries
β’ Appian certification (Level 2 or Lead Developer) preferred
β’ Experience with cloud-native appian deployments and AWS architecture
β’ Exposure to AI/ML-driven workflow automation and intelligent process automation
β’ Experience defining design systems and UI standards for enterprise workflow applications
β’ Certifications in AWS, Appian, or enterprise architecture
