Role description
We're currently seeking an experienced Application Development Director to lead a high-performing scrum team delivering data solutions for a major onboarding programme within a financial services environment.

The employer is a large organisation within the financial services sector.
Description
• Lead a multi-skilled scrum team including business analysts, data engineers, testers, and data office staff
• Manage the ingestion of critical data into the EMEA Data Platform, with a focus on finance-related datasets
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise and deliver a well-planned data pipeline
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure productive, time-boxed meetings
• Track sprint progress, remove blockers, and escalate risks or issues as needed
• Maintain transparency through meaningful MI and JIRA dashboards
Profile
• 10+ years of Agile delivery experience, including Scrum and Scrum of Scrums
• Strong understanding of data in a corporate investment banking context, especially within Finance
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and offshore resources
• Skilled in stakeholder communication across all levels
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Agile reporting tools
• Exposure to Data Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture, ideally with Databricks
• Degree-level education or equivalent experience
• Agile certification or demonstrable Agile delivery expertise
