Role description
A client of Sharp Decisions if looking for a Data Engineer. This role isΒ ONSITE in Torrance, CA- Β a multi-year contract with no end date,Β W2 only. Daily Task Performed: β€’ Architect and design cloud-native applications using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, and more. β€’ Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java, Python, Node.js, and React.js to prototype and implement core architectural components. β€’ Define and document architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines. β€’ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with architectural vision and scalability goals. β€’ Lead the migration of legacy systems to AWS cloud infrastructure. β€’ Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK. β€’ Integrate data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau) into cloud solutions. Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS' β€’ Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. β€’ 10+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years in cloud architecture (AWS). β€’ Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture patterns. β€’ Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, and React.js. β€’ Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK. β€’ Hands-on experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms. β€’ Exposure to AI/ML concepts and practical implementation using AWS tools. β€’ Proven ability to write production-grade code and lead by example.
