Job Description:
We are seeking a forward-thinking Developer to join a cutting-edge team building an Agentic AI Chat Assistant designed for self-directed clients in the financial domain. This intelligent assistant enables clients to engage with their portfolios through conversational, natural-language interactions.
As part of this high-impact initiative at a global investment management firm, you will work on next-generation digital experiences powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, and cloud-native architectures. Your work will directly influence how clients understand and manage their financial dataβflattening the UI, reducing friction, and delivering personalized, data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performing AI-powered chat experiences using agentic architectures (e.g., Bedrock, LangGraph).
β’ Integrate with internal APIs (Accounts, Holdings, Portfolio Watch, Transactions) to enable real-time, contextual interactions.
β’ Contribute to evolving the Explain & Empower assistant from MVP to a robust, cross-platform solution.
β’ Implement tooling for evaluation, observability, and monitoring to ensure responsible AI deployment.
β’ Translate technical specifications into maintainable, testable, and high-quality code.
β’ Participate in system design, code reviews, and lifecycle testing to identify and address performance or scalability issues.
β’ Elevate code into development, test, and production environments in alignment with release schedules.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business and user experience goals.
β’ Ensure compliance with Information Security and IT policies.
β’ Provide production support and participate in special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 3+ years of software development experience, including at least 1 year in application development.
β’ Strong programming experience in Python and TypeScript.
β’ Proficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
β’ Experience with observability tools such as Splunk or Honeycomb.
β’ Understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and change control processes.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on building intuitive, intelligent digital experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Familiarity with Stencil.js or other modern web component frameworks.
β’ Experience building LLM-powered or agentic AI systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or AWS Bedrock.
β’ Background in financial services, particularly client-facing analytics or data visualization solutions.
