Role description
Lead AI Engineer (Agentic AI Applications) – Contract We’re looking for a hands-on Lead AI Engineer who can drive delivery, guide teams, and build production-grade AI applications using LLMs, SMLs, and modern distributed systems. What you’ll do: β€’ Lead delivery of AI engineering projects and guide offshore/onshore teams β€’ Architect and build Agentic AI applications using LLMs/SMLs β€’ Design microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures β€’ Work with Python, FastAPI, Azure, Kafka, Kubernetes β€’ Partner with product, program, and platform teams to define scope and deliverables β€’ Ensure reliability, observability, and production readiness of AI systems β€’ Stay current with LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI tools, and bring innovation into the work What we’re looking for: β€’ 7+ years in software/AI engineering with experience leading teams β€’ Strong system design, architectural thinking, and ability to break down complex work β€’ Experience with offshore collaboration β€’ Solid coding and problem-solving skills (LeetCode medium level) β€’ Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka β€’ Familiarity with LLMs/GenAI; Python experience is a strong plus β€’ Understanding of non-functional requirements like scaling, monitoring, performance β€’ Clear communicator who can work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
