AI Software Engineer – Level 3 & Level 4 Location: Cambridge, MA (100% Onsite) Schedule: 9x80 work week Duration: 12-month contract with potential extension (W2 only) About the Role We are seeking talented AI Software Engineers to join a cutting-edge initiative focused on integrating Artificial Intelligence into avionics software development. Responsibilities • Design, develop, document, and implement AI algorithms and models using industry-standard tools and methods. • Leverage AI technologies to accelerate software development and testing processes. • Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to ensure quality and reliability. • Test, debug, and optimize AI models and software systems. • Integrate and deploy scalable AI models into production environments. • Monitor and improve in-production AI models for performance and compliance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and domain experts to gather requirements and iterate solutions. • Research and implement emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices. • Ensure ethical considerations and safety risk management in AI model development. Level 3 – Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree + 3 years experience OR Master’s degree + 1 year experience in software engineering. • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or other modern programming languages. • Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) preferred. • Strong willingness to adopt AI tools for software development and testing. • Excellent documentation and communication skills. • Ability to work onsite in Cambridge, MA. • Ability to obtain Secret clearance upon hire. • Nice-to-Have: Experience with ADA or avionics software. Level 4 – Additional Requirements • Ability to lead design efforts and mentor junior engineers. • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Google Test, PyTest). • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). • Experience collaborating with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments. • Same technical skills as Level 3, with added leadership and integration expertise. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
