About Us My client are a forward-thinking advertising agency that blends creativity with cutting-edge technology to deliver impactful campaigns for global brands. They are looking for an experienced AI Engineer Contractor to help us design, develop, and integrate AI-powered chatbot solutions - specifically for WhatsApp and other conversational platforms, to enhance customer engagement and brand interaction. Role Overview As an AI Engineer Contractor, you will be responsible for developing and deploying chatbot solutions that integrate seamlessly with WhatsApp and potentially other messaging platforms. You will work closely with creative, strategy, and digital production teams to ensure AI solutions are functional, engaging, and aligned with campaign goals. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and implement AI-driven chatbots with seamless WhatsApp API integration (via Meta’s Business API, Twilio, or equivalent providers). • Develop and integrate conversational flows tailored to advertising and marketing use cases. • Collaborate with creative and client teams to translate campaign objectives into interactive chatbot experiences. • Ensure compliance with Meta/WhatsApp policies and industry best practices. • Implement analytics and reporting to track performance and optimise chatbot interactions. • Troubleshoot, test, and refine solutions to ensure stability and scalability. • Provide technical documentation and handover to internal teams. Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience building and deploying chatbots (e.g., Dialogflow, Rasa, Microsoft Bot Framework, custom NLP models). • Strong expertise in WhatsApp Business API (directly or via providers like Twilio, Vonage, Gupshup, etc.). • Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or similar programming languages commonly used in chatbot/AI integrations. • Understanding of NLP/LLM integration (OpenAI, GPT, etc.) for natural conversation flows. • Experience working in marketing, advertising, or consumer engagement projects is a plus. • Ability to work independently as a contractor, managing time and deliverables effectively. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable. Preferred Qualifications • Experience integrating chatbots into multichannel ecosystems (web, Messenger, Instagram, etc.). • Knowledge of analytics/insights tools to measure engagement. • Background in advertising/creative agency environments.
