Role description
Agentic AI Developer (Contract Role – 1 year) Location: NYC (1 day/week onsite) Engagement: W2 or Corp-to-Corp Contract We’re partnering with a leading client seeking a skilled Agentic AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy next-generation autonomous AI systems powered by modern large language models. This is an exciting opportunity for an AI engineer or software developer with experience in LLM-based architectures, agentic frameworks, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows. You’ll join a collaborative team of data scientists, product managers, and ML engineers to build intelligent, context-aware agents that reason, adapt, and perform complex tasks autonomously. What You’ll Do • Design and implement autonomous agents using LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA, etc.) and orchestration tools like Rasa, LangChain, or LangGraph. • Build and optimize RAG pipelines to enable contextual understanding and dynamic reasoning. • Integrate structured and unstructured data sources for improved agent intelligence and decision-making. • Develop real-time inference and monitoring tools for deployed agents. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into scalable agentic workflows. • Conduct performance analysis, testing, and continuous optimization of deployed models. What You’ll Bring • 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience. • Strong proficiency in Python and production-level ML/AI coding. • Solid understanding of agentic architectures, LLMs, and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone). • Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Meta LLaMA models into real-world solutions. • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and model deployment best practices. Nice-to-Haves: • Experience with prompt engineering or LLM finetuning. • Background in chatbots, intelligent assistants, or autonomous systems. • Knowledge of caching strategies, MCP server/client builds, or enterprise AI deployments. • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. Why Join • Work on cutting-edge AI agent orchestration and reasoning systems. • Collaborate with a talented, forward-thinking team in a flexible remote environment. • Opportunity to influence the architecture and direction of enterprise-scale AI deployments.
