Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Title: AI Engineer Contract Type: Contract - 12 months Job Location: Richardson office, Hybrid onsite requirement: Tuesdays & Thursdays onsite Job Pay Rate: $65-$75/hr Visa: Must work W2 Only - no C2C or 1099 Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the real estate industries, is seeking an AI engineer to join their team! The AI Engineer will leverage their engineering experience with Python to drive projects in AI, data, and backend systems. The role demands strong proficiency in Generative AI, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and deploying models in production environments. The successful candidate will design context windows and retrieval pipelines, optimize RAG pipelines using vector databases, and implement knowledge graphs using tools like Neo4j and SPARQL. A strong background in data engineering and MLOps practices is essential. Job Must Haves: • 5+ years of engineering experience with Python • Strong proficiency in Generative AI • Hands-on experience with Context Engineering • Experience building and optimizing RAG pipelines • Proficient in Knowledge Graph design and implementation • Strong background in Data Engineering • Experience designing Semantic Layers • Hands-on building AI Chatbots and conversational agents • Proficient with LLM APIs • Experience with vector search, semantic similarity, and embedding strategies • Strong understanding of data pipelines Job Nice to Haves: • No required cloud AI platform preference • Experience with tools such as Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock is a plus
