Role description

Payrate: $38.50 - $42.19/Hour

Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the analytics of chemical and biological datasets. Specifically, the candidate will support cross-platform analysis of bioprocessing data, build automated data pipelines and databases, and develop and deploy new analysis methods to mine and integrate internal data. The candidate will also support the design and execution of experiments at the bench scale, including both cell culture and purification operations. Additionally, the candidate will utilize out-of-the-box thinking to contribute to technology development, including process and data automation.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

   • Develop and maintain data analysis pipelines, including implementation and deployment of databases.

   • Support data processing requests and create data visualization tools.

   • Contribute to and communicate technology development, including process automation.

Basic Qualifications:

   • Bachelor’s or master’s degree OR Associate degree and 4 years scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

   • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or other relevant sciences with a demonstrated record of excellence.

   • Prior experience with data analytical tools (Excel, Spotfire, JMP, Tableau, MATLAB, etc.) are essential.

   • Basic understanding of protein chromatography, filtration, or cell culture principles.

   • Experience with wet-lab biological or chemical experiments is a plus.

   • Familiarity with the design of experiments and statistical analysis of experimental data is desirable.

   • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL, VBA, etc) is desirable.

   • Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

   • Able to work onsite three days a week.

Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:

   • Proficiency in at least one scripting languages and associated packages, including but not limited to R or Python.

   • Experience working with biological datasets.

   • Expertise with standard statistical and data visualization tools, including but not limited to JMP, Spotfire, Tableau, and MATLAB.

Pay Transparency:  The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $38.50 - $42.19 per hour.  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.  Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.  Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
