Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Atlassian Administrator and Developer to join a team responsible for configuring, managing, and enhancing Jira and Confluence tools. The position involves understanding current processes, investigating and implementing solutions, and communicating with stakeholders. This role offers opportunities for critical thinking in building extensible solutions that support the daily collaboration of the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with customers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to collect requirements and develop solutions.
• Manage and configure complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
• Document requirements, solutions, user guides, and support reference guides.
• Provide ongoing user support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Research, test, and implement add-ons for Jira and Confluence.
• Develop interfaces between external tooling and Jira/Confluence infrastructure.
• Develop specifications and test plans for new features or modifications.
• Work within a hybrid schedule, with on-site days Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday from 10am to 3pm.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
Technical Skills:
• Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence) or similar software.
• Basic SQL and/or JQL query understanding.
• Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience customizing workflows, adding post functions, and setting up dashboards, boards, and filters.
• Ability to automate and extend base Jira/Confluence functionality, including scripting (ScriptRunner, Groovy).
• Experience designing and developing customizations and add-ons.
• Administrator experience with Jira and Confluence.
• UI Development skills, including JavaScript (jQuery) and CSS.
• Experience with Jira Service Desk, BitBucket, and Jenkins.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Interview Process
The interview process consists of a phone screen followed by an in-person interview.
Compensation & Benefits
This position has a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 and a contract pay rate range of $40.00 to $55.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
