Job Title: Autodesk AutoCAD
Work Duration: 12+ Months
Work Mode: Hybrid (Sunrise - FL)
Ideal Candidate Profile
· professional experience (flexible—strong retail + AutoCAD Architecture expertise is more important than exact years)
· 5+ years hands-on with Autodesk tools in retail, store planning, or fixture design environments
· Background working closely with design teams, store planners, and business stakeholders
· Ability to independently manage:
· Requirements understanding
· Architecture & customization
· Development & delivery
· Client demos & iterative updates
· Strong communication skills and comfort acting as a bridge between creative and technical functions
Core Responsibilities
· Autodesk / AutoCAD / Revit Development
· Customize and enhance AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD, and/or Revit for retail store planning workflows
· Develop tools, scripts, plug-ins, and automation to accelerate design/fixture workflows
· Support creation and maintenance of design system components, fixture libraries, templates, and parametric models
· Retail Store Planning & Design Systems Support
· Work with designers and planners to understand store layout standards, fixture requirements, and business rules
· Translate retail planning needs into scalable technical solutions
· Build and maintain systems that improve planning consistency and reduce design effort
· Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Communication
· Collaborate with cross-functional business and design teams
· Conduct working sessions to refine user stories, workflows, and system requirements
· Present solutions, demos, and enhancements to internal and client teams
· Delivery & Ongoing Support
· Ensure high-quality solutions delivered on time
· Troubleshoot and support existing Autodesk-based customizations
· Provide documentation for tools, workflows, and design system components
Required Skills & Technologies
· AutoCAD Architecture (must have)
· AutoCAD / AutoLISP / .NET / C#
· Experience with Revit API, Dynamo (preferred but not mandatory)
· Experience building tools for retail store planning, fixture libraries, or commercial interiors
· Understanding of retail floorplans, fixture standards, and design rules
