Schedule: 40 hours/week, weekly pay
Pay Rate: Based on experience and alignment

Overview
Calculated Hire is hiring a Business Execution Consultant to support an Intelligent Automation initiative with a leading financial services client. This team is focused on identifying manual, repetitive, and resource-heavy operational processes and delivering scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, controls, accuracy, and overall business performance.
This is a hands-on automation and solutioning role. The ideal candidate will be able to work directly with operations stakeholders, understand business pain points, determine where automation can create value, and build practical solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Power Apps, SQL, and related technologies.
This role is not limited to reporting or dashboard creation. The team needs someone who can independently build automation solutions, troubleshoot workflow issues, translate business problems into technical/process solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
• In this role, you will partner with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and automation opportunities across complex operational environments.
• You will design, build, and implement automation solutions using Alteryx and related low-code tools. This may include automating reconciliations, reporting processes, data transformation workflows, exception handling, operational controls, and other manual business processes.
• You will be expected to gather requirements from business users, understand the current-state process, recommend the right automation approach, and deliver solutions that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, enhance controls, and create measurable operational impact.
• The role requires someone who can operate independently, manage competing priorities, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and move quickly from problem identification to solution delivery.
Required Skills
• Hands-on Alteryx experience is strongly preferred, including building, modifying, troubleshooting, and optimizing workflows in a professional environment.
• Candidates should have experience designing or delivering automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve reporting or reconciliation processes, enhance workflow accuracy, or strengthen operational controls.
• Strong data transformation experience is required, including joins, filters, formulas, data cleansing, data blending, reconciliation, validation, and workflow logic review.
• Experience with SQL, Excel, Power Apps, Power Automate, Xceptor, Access databases, Python, Tableau, Power BI, ETL tools, or similar platforms is highly valuable.
• Candidates should be comfortable working directly with business users and operations teams to gather requirements, clarify pain points, prioritize automation opportunities, and translate business needs into scalable workflow solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in automation delivery, business execution, process improvement, data analysis, operations, or a related field.
• Prior experience building or delivering automation/workflow solutions in a professional environment.
• Ability to independently own work from requirements gathering through solution design, build, testing, validation, and delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with business users, operations teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal ramp-up and deliver measurable results.
• Must be comfortable with a 6-month W2 contract and hybrid onsite schedule.
• Must be able to work directly on W2 for the duration of the contract without sponsorship, transfer support, or third-party/subcontracting arrangement.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Xceptor, Power Apps, Power Automate, or intelligent automation tools.
• Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, investment banking operations, securities operations, funding operations, middle office, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, or operational risk/control environments.
• Experience supporting process transformation, workflow optimization, straight-through processing, operational reporting, or legacy process replacement.
• Exposure to AI, advanced analytics, or emerging automation technologies is a plus.
Team / Organization
This role supports an Intelligent Automation function within a large financial services operations group. The team operates as an embedded automation partner to the business, helping identify high-value process issues and deliver practical automation solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and operational effectiveness.
