Business Systems – BI / Automation Specialist - EMEA Candidate fit: This role is ideal for a systems thinker with experience in process improvement, automation, data insight and stakeholder-led change. About the role The Business Systems – BI / Automation Specialist will support the continued evolution of Seagate's EMEA Physical Security programme by identifying opportunities to improve business processes, increase efficiency and enhance the operational performance of our security systems. This role focuses on understanding how our people, our processes and our technology work together to deliver better business outcomes. Working across multiple teams and stakeholders, you will help design practical business solutions, implement automation opportunities, improve our site security reporting and support the successful adoption of new tools and ways of working. A key aspect of the role will be identifying business process opportunities to leverage automation, as well as Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled tools to simplify site security processes, improve efficiency and support better business outcomes. This position is ideal for someone with a Business Systems – BI / Automation background, as well as operational excellence, data analytics, or digital transformation experience, who enjoys turning complex challenges into simple, scalable solutions. Key responsibilities Business Systems Improvement & Solution Design • Understand business processes and operational challenges across our EMEA Physical Security programmes. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, simplify workflows and reduce manual effort in the work that we do. • Design practical, scalable solutions that improve business outcomes and user experience. • Assess the impact of proposed changes across stakeholders, processes and systems. Process Automation, AI & Digital Enablement • Develop and implement automated solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform and other business technologies. • Leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, reporting and operational efficiency. • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, streamline workflows and enhance decision-making through automation and AI. Data, Analytics & Reporting • Create dashboards, reports and performance metrics to support informed decision-making. • Measure programme effectiveness and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. • Support the development of meaningful KPIs that improve visibility and operational performance. Change Management & Stakeholder Influence • Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate challenges into practical solutions. • Support communication, training and adoption activities for new processes and technologies. • Help teams embrace new ways of working and realise the benefits of change. Continuous Improvement • Promote a culture of innovation, efficiency and problem-solving. • Regularly review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve performance. • Share ideas and best practices that support long-term programme maturity. Essential experience • Project management systems thinking with the ability to understand complex business processes and design practical, scalable solutions. • Experience identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, simplify workflows and drive continuous improvement. • Experience implementing or supporting business process automation initiatives. • Ability to use data, reporting and metrics to generate insights and support decision-making. • Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate needs into solutions. • Strong communication, collaboration and change management skills. • Experience supporting the adoption of new tools, processes or ways of working. Desirable Experience • Experience using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). • Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI-enabled productivity tools or intelligent automation solutions. • Exposure to physical security, operations or service delivery environments. • Experience supporting regional or multi-site programmes. • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence or business transformation methodologies.
