AWS Cloud Engineer

///W2 Contract Onsite Position in Saline MI/// An international IT Service & Solutions company is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and manage AWS-based infrastructure and services. • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions. • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions. • Deploy and configure resources to support evolving business needs. • Automate workflows and infrastructure management to improve efficiency. • Monitor system performance, respond to incidents, and ensure high availability. • Contribute to ongoing improvements in reliability, security, and scalability. Qualifications • Bachelor Degree in computer science or related field. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration • At least 3 years of experience managing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and cloud security best practices • Proficiency with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, GitHub Actions) • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing. Other duties assigned depending on various projects requirements.
