Role description
AWS Cloud Engineer Responsibilities • Provision, manage, and optimize compute and storage resources using Amazon EC2 and S3. • Implement and maintain access controls, security policies, and identity management using AWS IAM, with a special focus on enforcing best practices for cloud security. • Design, support, and secure networking and DNS configurations via AWS Route 53, including setup and tuning of load balancers and network routing. • Automate infrastructure, configuration management, and deployment tasks using scripting languages (such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform. • Deploy, maintain, and optimize cloud environments through any CI/CD platform (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.), enabling continuous integration and deployment for cloud workloads. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve AWS service-related incidents, participate in ongoing maintenance and performance analysis, and ensure optimal uptime and scalability. • Enforce cloud security standards and participate in vulnerability assessments, logging, monitoring, and incident response for all AWS resources, utilizing CloudWatch and relevant security tools. • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, DevOps, network, and security teams to implement cloud solutions according to business and compliance requirements. Required Skills • Extensive hands-on experience with key AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, and VPC networking. • Deep understanding of cloud security concepts, IAM best practices, and incident response in cloud environments. • Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell) and automation of cloud infrastructure and deployments. • Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for production and development workloads. • Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud deployments, networking, access control, and cost optimization. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in agile environments, supporting business and technical objectives.
