AWS Cloud Engineer

Primary Location: Bonita Springs, Florida V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an AWS Cloud Engineer for our premier client in Bonita Springs, Florida. What You’ll Need Technical Requirements and Certifications » • AWS Certification (At least one: Associate, DevOps, SysOps Administrator, Solution Architect) Education And Experience » • Minimum of 3 years of Cloud Infrastructure experience. (Mid-level). • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. • Extensive knowledge of Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking, and storage. • Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, Code Deploy, CloudFront, S3). • Experience architecting cloud infrastructures on AWS for small, medium enterprise level applications. • Experience with configuring networking and security configurations including security groups, ACL’s and Gateways. • Experience in cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, server builds, data migration and performance tuning in cloud environments. • Experience in automating the server configurations to include standard build installations and system security hardening. Preferred Skills • Provisioning and administration of solutions on AWS using CloudFormation and or other cloud provisioning tools to deploy fully functional VPCs consisting of Windows and Linux AMIs. • Solid foundation of Linux administration • Strong working knowledge of AWS CLI, AWS-Shell for automating provisioning, deployment, and administrative tasks. • Provide comprehensive system administration support functions on AWS infrastructure. • Maintain a highly available Production infrastructure in cloud What You’ll Do Job Responsibilities: • Designing secure, efficient, reliable, scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems on AWS. • Selecting appropriate services based on data, compute, and database and/or security requirements. • Estimate AWS costs and identify cost control mechanisms. • Responsible for any technological duties associated with Amazon cloud computing, participate in planning, maintenance, support, and manage infrastructure. • Lead efforts to identify appropriate use of AWS architectural best practices. • Implement the necessary improvements to the Architecture. • Ensure that AWS Architecture aligns with needs. • Monitor Performance for effective use of AWS resources. • Evaluate AWS Products and Service for impact on architecture and recommend adoption as necessary. • Advise application teams on deployment options. • Implementing network and edge firewall configurations.
