Role description
About the Role We are looking for an AWS Data Analytics Consultant focused on Amazon Connect Analytics and the broader AWS analytics stack. This person should be able to design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions, not just work on a single tool or component. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Amazon Connect Analytics, Kinesis, AWS Lambda, and AWS-based data platforms, along with a working knowledge of Splunk for instrumentation and monitoring. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions across the AWS stack for contact center / Amazon Connect workloads. • Build and maintain data pipelines for Amazon Connect Analytics, including ingestion, transformation, and storage. • Develop real-time and near real-time data flows using Amazon Kinesis (Data Streams / Firehose). • Implement serverless data processing solutions using AWS Lambda for event-driven transformations and integrations. • Work with AWS data services such as: • Amazon S3 for data lake storage • AWS Glue for ETL/ELT jobs and data cataloging • Amazon QuickSight (or similar) for dashboards and analytics • Implement basic Splunk instrumentation and dashboards to monitor logs, events, and system health. • Collaborate with solution architects, business stakeholders, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs. • Ensure solutions are scalable, cost-efficient, secure, and well-documented. • Troubleshoot data and integration issues across the AWS analytics stack and drive them to resolution. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer working in cloud environments (preferably AWS). • Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect Analytics or similar contact center analytics solutions on AWS. • Strong experience with Amazon Kinesis (Data Streams / Firehose) for streaming / real-time data processing. • Practical experience with AWS Lambda for event-driven, serverless data pipelines. • Working experience with core AWS analytics services: • Amazon S3 • AWS Glue (jobs, crawlers, data catalog) • Amazon QuickSight or other BI tools on AWS • Good understanding of Splunk for basic log instrumentation, dashboards, and alerting. • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, PySpark, or SQL) for data processing. • Experience designing end-to-end solutions across multiple services rather than focusing on a single technology. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a client-facing / stakeholder-heavy environment. Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience with other AWS analytics services (e.g., Athena, Redshift, OpenSearch). • Background in contact center, customer experience, or telephony analytics. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK). • Experience working with observability/monitoring stacks beyond Splunk (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog). • Prior experience in consulting or system integrator environments.
