Role description
Role Name: Data Scientist Location: Dallas, TX OR New Orleans, Duration: 12 month We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Scientist to design, build, and deploy scalable data science and machine learning solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and cloud-based data platforms, with hands-on experience using AWS analytics and AI/ML services. Key Responsibilities • Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models using AWS services such as SageMaker, Lambda, Glue, Athena, and EMR • Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation on large datasets • Build end-to-end data science pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS-native tools • Design and maintain scalable data architectures using S3, Redshift, DynamoDB • Implement MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, and automation • Collaborate with data engineers, cloud architects, and business stakeholders • Optimize model performance and cloud costs • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions and insights • Create dashboards and reports using QuickSight or other BI tools • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance best practices on AWS Required Skills & Qualifications • 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud • Expertise in Python, SQL, and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn • Experience with AWS SageMaker, including training and deployment • Knowledge of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, and deep learning concepts • Experience working with structured and unstructured data • Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, PySpark) • Understanding of MLOps and CI/CD pipelines • Experience with Git, Docker, and REST APIs
