Role description
Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer with AI expertise to join our client’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native solutions on AWS, along with the ability to integrate AI/ML capabilities into scalable architectures. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices for scalability, security, and performance. • Implement and optimize AI/ML solutions using AWS-native services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/EKS). • Develop automation scripts for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud operations using Terraform/CloudFormation. • Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to operationalize and deploy AI/ML models. • Monitor cloud environments and drive performance tuning, cost optimization, and system reliability improvements. • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across AWS environments. • Troubleshoot cloud and AI workload issues and provide root cause analysis. Required Skills & Experience • 6–10 years of experience as an AWS Engineer or Cloud Engineer. • Strong hands-on expertise with core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, EKS/ECS, API Gateway, RDS/ DynamoDB, etc. • Practical experience deploying or integrating AI/ML solutions using AWS services. • Experience with Python or Node.js for backend and AI/ML automation. • Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, monitoring, and logging frameworks. • Strong knowledge of security best practices, identity management, and networking concepts in AWS. • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments. Good to Have • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Machine Learning, DevOps Engineer). • Experience with generative AI or LLM-based workloads. • Experience working in telecom or large enterprise environments (Verizon experience a plus).
