Role description
AWS Lead Data Analyst / Business Analyst Contract Rate: Competitive Inside IR35 Contract Start: Immediate Contract End: December 2026 Location: London (2/3 days Hybrid) The Lead Data Analyst / Business Analyst will work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, acting as a key bridge between business intent and technical implementation. The role involves defining reporting requirements and translating them into clear data and API specifications for the D2C Reporting APIs on the ODS platform Key Responsibilities • Define canonical data models, event schemas, and reporting structures across Kafka/Flink streaming pipelines and MongoDB persistence • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops to identify clear business needs • Translate business requirements into technical designs through analysis of event-driven data flows • Define data mappings, lineage, and acceptance criteria including validation of data accuracy • Ensure delivered APIs meet client, regulatory, and operational reporting needs Required Skills and Experience • Must have proven experience managing and operating Amazon Web Services environments at scale. • Strong data modelling skills with experience in defining canonical data models and event schemas • Experience working with Kafka, Flink streaming pipelines, and MongoDB persistence • Proven ability to facilitate workshops and gather clear business requirements • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical specifications • Experience defining data mappings, lineage, and acceptance criteria • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills .
